The awards ceremony will take place immediately after the completion of the race on the grounds of the Plantation. Athletes and friends can relax and enjoy cookout.
Course Description
5k Run #1:
The run course will start on Plantation Rd turning right onto Chippokes Farm Rd. You will follow Chippokes Farm Rd out to the Plantation entrance where you will loop around and return. You will follow Chippokes Farm Rd back to Quarter Ln where you will take a left to the T/A or finish.
23 Mile Bike Course:
The bike course will exit the transition area and proceed out Plantation Rd, left on Chippokes Park Rd, left on Alliance Rd, right on Chippokes Farm Rd, left on Highgate Rd, Left on Colonial Trail East (10), right on White Marsh Rd, right on Beechland Rd, right on Brownsview Ln (634), right on Colonial Trail East (10), left on Alliance Rd, left on Chippokes Park Rd, Right on Plantation Rd to T/A. All riders must stay to the right of their lane at all times other than passing. Please be courteous to the other riders on the course, ride in a straight line and stay right. Two minute USAT blocking penalties will be assessed to all riders not obeying this important safety rule. There will not be a water bottle hand off on the bicycle course so athletes should carry their own fluids.
